Each piece is hand-pulled, resulting in variations in color, dimension, and contrast. I begin each work with a simple image in mind, often inspired by friends, family, or personal experiences. As the process unfolds, the colors come together to form both the intended sketch and unexpected hidden images. I let the art guide me, knowing the silkscreen is complete when it feels right. I see life through color and hope that viewers find their own interpretations, connecting with the meaning and mystery within each piece.
My Story
I was born in 1967 in Minot, North Dakota, and have always had an artistic hand and a creative outlook on life. As the youngest of nine, I grew up surrounded by artistry through my parents’ work in music, quilting, and carpentry. I began my studies in Fine Arts at North Dakota State University, focusing on printmaking and 2D visual art for two years before transferring to Minot State University.
At Minot State, I honed my skills in silkscreen printing and earned my bachelor’s degree in art with a focus on printmaking. This period shaped my artistic vision and set the foundation for my creative journey. Now living in Colorado, I draw inspiration from the beauty of everyday life. I share this journey with my high school sweetheart, and together we are the proud parents of three children who continue to inspire and bring joy to our lives.​
